Power Electrics are pleased to announce that they have been awarded the Electrical Contractors’ Association (ECA) Contractor of the Year in the category up to £1m turnover.
The Gala Dinner and Annual Awards are a celebration of some of the UK’s leading electrical contracting companies. Taking place at Celtic Manor Resort in South Wales, the black tie event was attended by over 200 ECA members and guests.
An evening of networking, food and music was followed by a much anticipated awards ceremony, where they were delighted to walk away with the top award for companies whose electrical contracting turnover is under £1m. Sponsored by Edmundson Electrical, the award was presented in recognition of their innovation and significant client satisfaction within the industry.
John Pullin, Power Electrics company director said: “We are delighted to win the award of Electrical Contractor of the Year. Electrical contracting is an important element of our business at Power Electrics and we are proud to be recognised for our work by the UK’s leading trade association representing the interests of contractors who design, install, inspect, test and maintain electrical and electronic equipment and services.”
ROSPA Health & Safety Award Winners
Power Electrics has also been awarded the RoSPA 2016 Silver Award for Health & Safety. This is the first time the company has applied for this prestigious award.
Group EHS&Q Manager, Brett Mann described the importance of being recognised by RoSPA: “The award is massively important to us. The RoSPA Award has provided us with the chance to showcase ourselves, to benchmark against other successful organisations and demonstrates to all stakeholders, just how serious Power Electrics takes Health and Safety. I believe a company-wide buy-in to the importance of Health and Safety and the workforce’s ability to adapt has proved vital in our RoSPA award success.”
2016 marks the 60th anniversary of the RoSPA Health and Safety Awards, with previous winners including EDF Energy, Indesit Company Logistics and Lloyds Banking Group. For 60 years the scheme has been recognising and celebrating excellence in safety performance – longer than any other in the industry.
These internationally recognised awards, held by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, have become the most sought after accolade by organisations from every sector, offering organisations the opportunity to prove their ongoing commitment to raising standards and to celebrate success.
