A Global Guide to Onsite Power: First Edition
The leading reference guide for the power generating systems industry has been updated for a global audience. AMPS is excited to introduce it to the UK.
Since 1990, the On-Site Power Generation: A Comprehensive Guide to On-Site Power has been the industry’s go-to reference book. Created by experts from across the field, this book is a straightforward reference that offers practical guides for nearly every aspect of on-site power generation equipment. It covers topics like different types of prime movers and their accessories, electrical basics, alternators, enclosures, switchgear, controls, and more.
The first edition of the Global Guide to Onsite Power is a significant update for the UK and Europe. For the first time, the guide goes beyond its US focus to become a global resource, compiled by the industry.

- Global coverage: 50/60Hz, UL/CE standards and local variances including grid codes and planning regulations
- Latest technologies: hybrid systems and micro-grids
- Latest fuels: HVO, biomethane, hydrogen and synthetic fuels
