CESAR is the UK’s official equipment security and registration scheme. Through our partnership with the Construction Equipment Association (CEA), you can access the scheme at a reduced cost.
The scheme provides all-round protection for your machinery and equipment. From visible unique tamper-evident ID labels to microscopic datadots, every part of your machine is covered by CESAR.
What is CESAR?
- Proven Theft Deterrent & Recovery Aid: CESAR, the official security and registration scheme powered by Datatag ID Ltd, has helped fight construction and agricultural machinery theft since 2008. CESAR-marked machines are far easier to identify and recover than unmarked ones, making them a far less desirable target for criminals.
- Recognised Industry Standard: The triangular CESAR plate is the industry standard for identification and incorporates advanced visible and covert Datatag ID technology. Supported by the new RAPID Police search portal, the system ensures swift action on stolen equipment.
- Environmental Compliance with CESAR ECV: CESAR ECV is a powerful enhancement to the existing CESAR system, allowing quick verification of a machine’s emissions category using tamper-evident, colour-coded labels linked to the secure CESAR database. Developed in partnership with HS2 and major UK contractors, the Energy Saving Trust, and the Cleaner Construction London enforcement team, ECV supports compliance with Low Emission Zones and helps companies meet environmental standards on large-scale construction projects.
