The 2025 AMPS AGM, Conference & Lunch was a well-attended and highly successful event, drawing over 180 professionals from across the UK power generation industry. James Dorling (KGP Automotive Intelligence) explored market trends in decarbonisation, electrification, and emissions impacts for genset manufacturers. He shared insights from KGP’s latest research on future energy demands and powertrain technologies.
Bill Esterson MP, Chair of the Commons Select Committee for Energy Security and Net Zero, delivered a timely political perspective on energy policy, business development, and the path toward a net zero economy.
Rob May (ramsac) captivated the audience with an engaging and accessible talk on AI, cybersecurity, and the evolving digital landscape. His presentation combined technical relevance with humour and real-world application.
Professor Simon Michaux (Geological Survey of Finland) provided a thought-provoking talk titled “Black Swans, White Swans and the Purple Transition”, addressing the complexities of the circular economy and the future of critical minerals in the transition from fossil fuels.
