A New Director General for AMPS is Announced

AMPS – the Association of Manufacturers Power Systems, are delighted to announce the appointment of Alan Beech as its new Director General, effective from April 7th 2025.

With an impressive 40 years of experience in the power generation and engine industry, Alan has held leading roles at prominent companies such as Broadcrown, Cummins, Deutz, and most recently, Clarke Energy.

Throughout his distinguished career, Alan has been a steadfast supporter of AMPS, serving on its council and various subcommittees for over 25 years.

AMPS Chair, Louise Hazel said “as our industry faces ongoing challenges and transformations — from political and legislative changes to technological advancements like net-zero and digitalisation — we are confident that Alan’s expertise will be invaluable in guiding AMPS through these dynamic times.
