Speedy power distribution Electrical specialist to exhibit at Speedy Expo 2017

Power distribution specialist ide Systems will be exhibiting its range of power distribution equipment at the Speedy Expo at the Exhibition Centre Liverpool from November 1–2, 2017. The company will be demonstrating its electrical expertise from stand M24 at the event and will feature a smart power distribution board on the stand for visitors to view.

The annual expo will be hosted by namesake company Speedy Services, a tools, equipment and plant-hire company that is celebrating 40 years in business this year. Ide Systems has worked with the company for many years, with the two companies recently extending a contract that will see ide Systems’ power distribution equipment and accessories used at the British Superbike (BSB) Championships.

Ide Systems will be drawing attention to its range of smart power distribution boards at the expo. The boards allow plant and construction project managers, as well as electrical contractors, to not only effectively distribute power across a site, but also to control and monitor boards and sockets remotely.

The smart power distribution boards are particularly beneficial for businesses and site managers looking to balance effective power distribution with efficient energy usage and minimised carbon emissions. Each socket on a smart distribution board is fitted with a multi-function power meter that facility managers and engineers can monitor, control or disconnect by using their laptop or smartphone.

“Smart technology is becoming increasingly common in industrial applications but it has not yet properly permeated the electrical sector, particularly power distribution,” explained Matt Collins, business development manager at ide Systems. “Despite this, smart technology can greatly enhance the functionality and benefits of power distribution equipment.

“It’s for this reason that ide Systems has invested in bringing smart features together with years of experience in electrical engineering. This has resulted in products that provide effective and reliable power distribution, while also offering additional features to make managing electrical supply quicker, easier and more convenient for managers and engineers alike.

“We will be sharing this innovative technology with visitors at the Speedy expo and discussing how they can benefit from taking a smarter approach to power distribution.”

While ide Systems has been a supplier to Speedy Services for many years, the company has also worked closely with the venue itself in the past. The ACC Liverpool event campus, where the Exhibition Centre is located, used single-point power distribution systems custom designed by ide Systems when extending the exhibition hall space in 2015.

Visitors interested in discovering the benefits of smart power distribution can visit ide Systems on stand M24 at the Speedy Expo from November 1–2. For more information on the range of power distribution equipment supplied and manufactured by ide Systems, contact the company on 01543 574 111.
